Got a subset of the drifter data from AOML and made sure to only get those that are drogued, for 2002-2019 (matching tag data), and global (for now).
Getting FSLE from Aviso for later extraction/animation
Getting AVISO FSLE data to then extract FSLE using shark locations and fit mpmm model (similar to Jonsen et al 2019 Ecology).
Calculating geostrophic currents and eddy kinetic energy
Running some smoother and geostrophic calculation code in matlab as its way faster than anything I can come up with in R, including via various parallelization routines.
